1942年生於中國安徽，1945年移居台灣台南。出身書畫世家，自幼耳濡目染，水墨創作起步早、畫風成熟。李重重創造了具現代人情感與時代精神的水墨。大器的佈局配上拓墨、自動技法的運用，使她的作品在蒼勁中顯得流轉靈動、明亮的色彩在墨色中跳躍穿梭；其獨特風格讓她在台灣抽象水墨界佔有一席之地，並且散發著剛柔並濟的魅力。
作品自1970年起於美國、歐洲各地、中國、日本、韓國展出。曾獲國立台灣歷史博物館、台北市立美術館、高雄市立美術館、國立台灣美術館、台南市美術館、美國馬利蘭州亞洲藝術中心、日本福岡美術館、中國青島美術館典藏與國內外私人收藏。2017年至2020年連續參展於Art Basel Hong Kong，並且於2020年台北當代藝術博覽會展出個展。
Lee Chung-Chung (1942-) was born in Anhui, China. In 1945, she settled in Tainan, Taiwan. She was born into a painter's family, and therefore influenced by art at a young age. Lee had also an early start in ink creation, and now possess a mature art style. She applied the growth and expansion of ink as well as automatism to create a seemingly vigorous circulation in her works. Her unique style, dominated by the charm of firmness and flexibility, has let her establish a solid position in Taiwanese abstract ink painting.
